The gameplay follows the formula of the predecessors with several changes, the most notable of which is the option to fight in real time. Characters and many objects are represented by 2D sprites. The Mandate of Heaven is the sixth installment in the Might and Magic series, and the first one with the playing area done with a real 3D engine, allowing free exploration of the terrain (as opposed to the grid-based movement of the previous games) and camera rotation. Meanwhile, the town of Sweet Water is invaded by the Kreegans, and four adventurers become involved in the battle and the search for the missing king. Xenofex, the king of the Kreegans, establishes a cult teaching people that the Ironfist dynasty has lost its Mandate of Heaven to rule the realm.

The local king, Roland Ironfist, plans to attack the demonic-looking aliens, but is betrayed by a mage named Sulman and gone missing. Meteor-like spaceships populated by the Kreegans fell onto the technologically less advanced planet Enroth. If you try to play it you will find it to be very fun and exciting, albeit very challenging in some situations.After the corrupt Guardian Sheltem was defeated, the seemingly never-ending war between the Ancients and the alien Kreegans entered a new phase. This doesn’t offer the interaction that previous games did, and it’s a bit of a shame honestly.īut despite all of that, Might and Magic Heroes VI: Complete Edition is worth a shot. It’s also a bit of a shame that instead of getting skills when you level up you just put skills in a tree. It’s a bit inconsistent, and that tends to be a problem either on the very low or the very high difficulty levels. It can be too powerful at one time and too dumb in the next battle. It has a lot of problems when it comes to loading properly and you will encounter issues like your mouse moving around randomly without input.

However, Might and Magic Heroes VI: Complete Edition does suffer from many technical issues.
